Food entrepreneurs gain the knowledge needed to move their company from a dream to profitable local business. RTM alum Jan Skelton, owner of More Than a Cracker, now sells her line of products at the Tillamook Cheese Factory.

Increasing educational opportunities in Crook County

A partnership between OSU, Central Oregon Community College and Crook County brought credit college classes to the area for the first time since 2003. During winter term 2012, more than 300 students enrolled in classes, workshops and trainings. Classes offered locally have saved students over 1.4 million road miles traveling to Bend or Redmond.

Unifying efforts to increase the high school graduation rate in Jefferson County

Oregon Open Campus recently hosted a training session on the Juntos para una Mejor Educación program. Over 20 representatives from OSU Extension, K-12 school districts and the Warm Spring Indian Reservation attended. The Jefferson County Education Council is currently planning to launch the program in their community this spring.
